Recently, we accomplished something huge in service of our customers: a $40 million facility expansion. Still, the work didn’t feel complete until we had the chance to celebrate alongside our peers, customers and partners at our Grand Opening event.
Complete with facility tours, a cocktail reception and a Q&A panel with some of our engineering partners, we were proud to welcome our community and celebrate how the new 1623 Farnam seamlessly supports today’s and tomorrow’s cutting-edge IT. Featuring 75,000 gross square feet of availability, redundant and sustainable chilled water systems, 6 MW of power on a uniquely redundant power grid and expanded interconnection capabilities, the facility stands as an ideal home for mission-critical IT and the pioneering goals that drive its betterment.
“The ability to put a design together that would allow an office building with some colocation elements to transformed into a building that can house 4MW of critical IT load, 6MW worth of capacity, 6MW of cooling, bringing new utility services in — [all while] being able to work around an existing operational facility — that’s what I’m most proud of. It’s an enormous undertaking, and I’m really proud of the final results.” – Jack McCarthy of HED, the project’s architectural engineering firm.
